Church Loans: Purchase, Refinance and Construction for Churches
Business Purpose Lending

Financing for the house of worship.

Churches are financed differently from any other property. A lender is not reading a rent roll. It is reading your congregation: the giving history, the growth, the leadership and the plan. We work with lenders who understand ministry, so your church is underwritten by people who know how a church runs.

How it works

Church Loans, step by step.

  1. Tell us the mission. Buying a building, refinancing the one you have, expanding, or building new. Each one goes to a different set of lenders.
  2. Giving is the income. Tithes and offerings are what repay the loan. Lenders look at about three years of giving history and want to see it steady or growing.
  3. Attendance and leadership matter. Lenders ask how many people attend, how long the senior pastor has served, and who leads the church if something changes.
  4. The board approves the loan. A board resolution authorizing the loan is required, along with your bylaws and articles of incorporation.
  5. Pick a structure that fits the budget. Longer amortizations keep the monthly payment in line with your budget. We size the loan to what your giving can carry comfortably.
